Moist chocolate cupcakes topped with delicious smooth mint buttercream, topped with some fondant snowmen and christmas trees, all incased in a snow globe!

For the buttercream use 100g butter, 200g icing sugar, 2 tbsp milk and a few drops of peppermint oil, whisk everything together to a smooth mixture.
5tsp gelatin powder
75 ml water
1 batch chocolate cupcakes ( https://youtu.be/Ljfx7rN7Sjs )
1 batch mint buttercream (recipe above)
Mix together the gelatin and water and leave to bloom.
Place in the microwave on low until liquid.
Attach the inflated balloons to long sticks.
Coat the balloons in the gelatin and place in styrofoam to dry.
Do a second coat of the gelatin on the balloons.
Leave balloons to dry for 24 hours.
Make the fondant figures (details can be made in fondant or painted on with food colouring)
Coat the cupcakes with a layer of the buttercream.
Place fondant figures on top.
Sprinkle the icing sugar and glitter over the cupcakes.
Pop the balloons and allow them to peel off the the gelatin globes.
Cut around the bottom of the globes to fit your cupcakes.
Place over the fondant figures.
